The Fab Enterprise Challenge is designed for students to work in teams across a day, completing workshops in food service design, financial forecasting, marketing and presentation. The aim is to develop new ideas and then pitch the next food and beverage concept to local employers, lecturers and teachers.
The resources available include: an enterprise day guide for teachers and workshop materials consisting of introductory presentations and student worksheets.
The FAB Enterprise Challenge can be run for large or small groups. Use the guide to review suggested formats and structures for the day.
Food and Beverage Design
The food and beverage design workshop is the starting point for teams of students to work collaboratively, develop ideas and create a plan for a new food and beverage café, outlet or dining concept. An introductory presentation and student worksheet is available to support this session.
The financial forecasting workshop introduces students to the idea of forecasting income and expenditure. The introductory presentation and supporting materials will guide students through a series of questions to develop a forecasting template.
Marketing & Presentation
Marketing and presentation workshop is where students bring their ideas together, develop a marketing plan and create a presentation for their final pitch. An introductory presentation and student worksheets are available to support this session.
